Spring is here, so will be the summer. Check out this fantastic list of five delicious drinks to enjoy this Spring/Summer season.
Hey Everyone. At last, Spring is here and the beautiful goodies that Spring Season has to bring are amongst us as well. This month I thought of sharing a Round-Up of drink recipes that you and your little ones can enjoy throughout this Spring/Summer Season.
Since the next few months will be filled with nature’s delicious goodies, incorporating them into our daily diet can help us keep those pesky sicky germs at bay. (Pst- March was a month of being unwell at my side)
Hence I wanted to share this list of healthy drinks. After all homemade juice is much better than store-bought.
These juice ideas are all dairy-free and vegan.
Let’s go through the Five Delicious Kids Approved Drinks For Spring And Summer Season.
Orange Strawberry Juice
In this recipe of Orange Strawberry Juice, I have just mixed oranges and strawberries together with little ginger for aroma.
I like to add ginger to my daughter’s food since it has a lot of health benefits and medicinal properties.
Ginger is a good source of calcium, potassium, magnesium, and folate. It also has various anti-inflammatory properties and boosts the immune system. Oranges and strawberries have their share of health benefits too.
Make this juice for the Easter gathering, and hide away the juice boxes.
Kiwi Lime Lemonade
In the following recipe, I have blended kiwi and lemon juice together. To add a little aromatic flavor, I have added cardamom seeds. Lemon juice with cardamom along they go very well.
Finally, to add a fun and nutritious element to this drink, I added some pre-soaked Chia seeds.
Kiwi is an excellent source of dietary fiber and is filled with antioxidants. Limes/Lemons are loaded with vitamin C and folate. But they are also filled with citric acid.
Chia seeds are a good source of proteins, fatty acids, and antioxidants. Just make sure to presoak them before using them, as unsoaked or uncooked chia seeds can cause digestion issues in children.
For this recipe, I soaked 1 tsp of chia seeds in 1/2 cup water, overnight. Now isn’t this a fun way to add healthy juice to your daily diet?

Mixed Berry Punch
Mixed Berry Punch is a no-fuss recipe. I have used mixed berry juice.
In that, I added a few rosemary leaves and berries. In this case, I have used raspberries and blackberries.
Further, I let this mixture sit in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or so, to allow the flavor and aroma of rosemary to seep in. And then, when it is time to serve, I added ginger ale. The character of rosemary and ginger ale gives this drink a refreshing kick.
There is a grown-up version of this drink too. I like to add Moscato wine along with ginger ale to this drink and sip it chilled.
Kids Friendly Pomegranate Fizz
My main criteria while making this recipe were to give the pomegranate juice just a little hint of herb flavor. Nothing too overpowering.
The best herb that I liked for this drink was Thyme. The warm aroma of thyme complemented well with pomegranate.
With the addition of pomegranate syrup and ginger ale, this amazing drink recipe can step up for Drink Game. For the grown-up version, I like to serve it with vanilla liquor or white Moscato.
Mango Turmeric Smoothie
A smoothie without dairy. This version of my Mango Turmeric Smoothie has a coconut water base, mangoes, and fresh turmeric. If you plan to make this smoothie, I insist on using Fresh Turmeric Root, you will get that in any of your local produce stores.
Using the Fresh Turmeric Root will make all the difference in the taste and aroma of this smoothie.
Fresh Turmeric Root has potent anti-inflammatory effects and is a powerful antioxidant. Adding this to your daily diet can help you in many ways. You can store the cut fresh turmeric by wrapping it in a paper towel and keeping it in an airtight bag or container in your refrigerator.
Turmeric Root can be used in stews, soups, smoothies, marinades, or salad dressing. Possibilities are endless.
Mango Turmeric Smoothie can be your new Summer Breakfast Smoothie. How about waking up to this refreshing glass?
This concludes today’s post on Kids Approved Drinks For Spring And Summer. These are all approved by my little one.
