How to make Pistachio Saffron Smoothie:
Getting back to the recipe. For making this delicious smoothie, I have used vanilla yogurt and pistachio gelato for the base. To give it a thick creamy texture.
The main ingredient here is saffron, rose water and cardamom, which gives it’s an amazing aroma to the drink. I have absolutely added no sugar to the drink.
But if want it a bit on a sweeter side, you can add some honey or sugar to it. Rosewater is easily available in any Indian Grocery store here.

Pistachios Saffron Smoothie
Filled with the exotic aroma and flavour of saffron and rose flavour this Pistachio Saffron Smoothie is a must-try for the upcoming Spring Season.
You Need:
- 1 + 1/2 cups Pistachio Gelato (chilled)
- 1 cup Vanilla Yoghurt (chilled)
- 6-7 Pistachios (unsalted)
- 2-3 Cardamom Pods
- 1 tsp Rose Water
- 1/4 tsp Saffron Strands
How To Make It:

Start by adding half of the saffron strands to 1/2 tsp rose water. Keep it aside for garnishing

Now in a blender, add pistachio gelato, vanilla yoghurt, reaming saffron strands, rose water, peeled cardamom pods, and pistachio. Blend it into a smoothie.

For serving, pour the smoothie into a glass, top it with a small scoop of pistachio gelato and top that with rose water and saffron that we kept earlier for garnishing.

Serve immediately.

I’m not too much of a pistachio fan, but I think with the addition of the saffron is something worth trying.
I think then you should definitely give this a try. Even I don’t like Pistachios, but this smoothie is what I love.
