Banana And Dates Halwa

Banana and Dates Halwa. This warm and sweet No-Sugar puree is a superfood in a bowl.

You Need:

  • 2 Ripe Bananas
  • 3 Dates
  • 1/3 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/3 tsp Cardamom Powder
  • A pinch of Nutmeg (optional)
  • 1 tsp Unsalted Butter Or Ghee

How To Make It:

  1. Peel and cut bananas into pieces. Give it a rough chop. Wash the date and remove the pit if any. Cut into pieces

  2. In a non stick pan, add butter/ghee. Once heated add dates pieces.

  3. Cook them for a minute or so. Then add the banana pieces. Give it a good stir.

  4. Now add vanilla essence, cardamom powder and nutmeg powder (if using) and mix well.

  5. Banana pieces will start to disintegrate. Cook them till you see the bananas getting caramelized.

  6. Once done, turn off the heat. Let it cool down.

  7. Serve warm.

Recipe Notes

  • You can add any baby cereal of your choice to this recipe, in order to reduce its sweetness and make it a meal.
  • Do not store this recipe, make it fresh and serve.
