Sweet Potatoes With Rice And Mung Beans

A nutritious mixture of vegetables, grains, and lentils.

You Need:

  • 1/4 cup Sweet Potatoes
  • 1 tbsp Rice (white or brown)
  • 1 tbsp Mung Beans
  • 1 1/2 cup Water
  • A pinch of Whole Cumin Seeds
  • A dash of Turmeric Powder

How To Make It:

  1. Wash, peel and cut sweet potatoes into cubes.
  2. In a pot add water. Add sweet potatoes, rice, mung beans, cumin seeds and turmeric powder. Bring it to a boil.
  3. Once boiled cover it and let it simmer (Add a little water at this stage if needed) till it is well cooked and has become soft.
  4. Mash this mixture after it's cooked with a spoon or churn it in a food processor.
  5. Serve.

Recipe Notes

  • You can make this recipe in a Pressure cooker too.
  • You can add little-unsalted butter to this recipe if the baby is old enough to have dairy.
