Fresh Produce of September Click To Tweet

Hello September. It’s that time of the year when the season is changing. Every year I look forward to these months ahead. I just adore pumpkin lattes and cold crisp air. Especially living in a hot desert climate, autumn days are the most awaited ones.

September is the month when Farmer’s Markets are back in the season. The freshness of the produce in these markets is remarkable. Even the taste of these fresh vegetables and fruits is amazing. Getting these fresh goodies is a joy for me. And using them for my family is a delight.

When I started making baby food, I was particular about using fresh produce and what was available in that specific season. I did some reading on what was in the season in that month and shopped for those fruits and vegetables. This helped me give my baby the freshest available food. Now at the age of 2 years, my little girl is fond of various fruits and vegetables. Introducing her palate to a variety of produce helped her get used the taste, texture and aroma of nature’s goodness.

Keeping this in mind, let’s go through the fresh produce of September.

I love this little cheat sheet! It’s so helpful to see what will actually be in season when I’m getting ready to plan baked goods before jumping into fall! 🙂 Thanks so much for the post!

I wish I would have been more aware of the healthy fruits and veggies to make food for my baby. I’m more aware for my grandkids. My grandson enjoyed a homemade peach popsicle last night. I actually made it from the smoothie I made for myself. He really enjoyed it. I’m getting ready to make an apple smoothie for myself. Guess what kind of poposicle my grandson will be having tonight. 😉

Great list! I loved making baby food for my babies. It was so fun to see what new foods they would eat and how they would react! It felt so much healthier and cost efficient too!
