Mango Pineapple Smoothie- Mango Drink

Hello there everyone. Spring is in full swing at my part of the world, and I can’t get enough of Spring Themed everything.

Have you checked my Instagram feed lately? It is full of Spring Colors.

The best part of a warm season is the abundance of produce at the farmer’s market. The freshness of the displayed fruits and vegetables makes me want to get the whole market home. (Wishful thinking).

Keeping in mind the seasonal produce, I got my hands on fresh mangoes.

So I made this delicious Mango Pineapple Smoothie for my little one, which I enjoyed as well.

About The Recipe:

In the following recipe, I have mixed frozen mangoes and pineapple with vanilla yogurt.

I flavored it with a little vanilla extract, and it was good to go. I specifically used frozen fruits, which helped me in getting the thick creamy texture.

Just cut the fruit into cubes and freeze it overnight. This smoothie is more towards sour and tart taste.

I have added absolutely no sugar to this smoothie since my daughter is used to having sour and tart flavors.

If you are making this for kids 1 year and above, you can add a little sugar if desired.

Information on Mangoes And Pineapple:

Mango is a highly nutritious fruit. It is a great source of vitamin C, vitamin A, and fiber. Besides, mango also contains vitamin E, vitamin K, vitamin B6, potassium, copper, and beta-carotene.

Mangoes are usually not suggested as babies’ first food as there is a risk of allergies and rashes, but they can be introduced in later months. I started giving my daughter mangoes around 7 to 8 months.

Ripe mangoes don’t need to be cooked, as they are soft and can easily be chewed, and are digestible.

Pick mangoes that are tough yet soft to touch and have a strong sweet smell, which tells that they are ready to chow down. Keep unripe mangoes in a paper bag at room temperature to ripen.

Pineapple is yet another fruit that is acidic and can cause a rash in babies. So it’s best to introduce raw pineapple after the baby’s 1 -year birthday.

My daughter tolerated almost all the fruits well, so I introduced her to cooked pineapple at 10 months.

They are an excellent source of vitamin C and manganese. They have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, and they protect the immune system too.

So, save this recipe for your little one’s snack instead of grabbing something store-bought. I am sure you will enjoy this refreshing smoothie too. Let’s go through the recipe.

I have been wanting to try smoothies to get my little dude some extra fruit and veg. Well, honestly he loves fruit already, but I figure extra can’t hurt! 🙂 This looks terrific, definitely bookmarking to try!
