Kids Friendly Winter Salad

The joys of winter fruits in a bowl for your little ones and grown-ups.

Kids Friendly Winter Salad- Filled with delicious winter fruits.

Hello there. Winter is in full swing and I cannot get enough of the winter fruits all around the market. My daughter shares the fondness of winter fruits with me as well.

So today I am sharing a recipe for Kids Friendly Winter Salad, which I recently made for my daughter.

This salad is so simple, that even kids can make it. My 4-year-old was helping me make it. I have not added any kind of dressing. I wanted my daughter to enjoy the taste of each individual fruit as is.

Ingredients- Kids Friendly Winter Salad- Easy Baby Meals

I have used 7 fruits (apple, blueberries, raspberries, grapes, pomegranate seeds, persimmon, and pear) to make this salad. My daughter wanted to add mozzarella cheese to it, so I added that too.

Since I included cheese, to give it a little savory touch I finished it off with little extra virgin olive oil and dried thyme.

The simplicity of this salad is what makes it special. You can make this ahead of time or just make it at the last moment. The best part is it won’t give out too much water.

With so many fruits, this salad is filled with antioxidants, which we especially need during this cold and flu season. Along with essential vitamins and mineral, this Winter Salad is filled with fiber too.

For the grown-up version of this salad, you can add balsamic vinegar as a dressing along with extra virgin olive oil. You can also add some pecans or walnuts to give it a little crunch.

This Winter Salad will go very well with your Christmas Meal and will look absolutely beautiful and taste delicious. A light salad with fruits, now who doesn’t like that?

Letโ€™s go through the recipe.

My little Notes:

Very Important- (I canโ€™t stress enough, how crucial this is).Make sure that the fruits (apple, pear, grapes, persimmon and mozzarella cheese) are cut into small child-friendly bite-size pieces to avoid the risk of choking. For that matter, even blueberries and raspberries can be cut into child-friendly pieces.

For making this salad ahead of time, try to incorporate apple, pear, and persimmon at the last moment, just before serving to avoid turning it brown. Or you can add little lemon juice to cut apple and pear to stop it from turning brown.
