Fruit And Nut Smoothie Bowl

Good Morning everyone. Breakfast is a first and an important meal of the day. Starting your day right is crucial. But sometimes mornings get hectic, and we tend to look for shortcuts or worst skip the breakfast altogether. Today’s recipe is a quick alternative for such busy and chaotic mornings.

I had prepared this recipe for The Urban Spice in November 2015. The theme for the month was quick breakfast foods. So I came up with this Smoothie Bowl. I am a great fan of smoothie and smoothie with fresh fruits and nuts in them is what I call a delicious quick breakfast.

In the following recipe, I have made a delicious smoothie by using dates, milk, banana, walnuts and chia seeds. Then topped it with more nuts and fresh fruits like berries, since I had those and were in season. I like to add breakfast cereal to this smoothie bowl, to give it a crunch in every bite. I usually use frozen bananas for smoothies and smoothie bowls to give it a rich creamy texture.

Fruit and Nut Breakfast Smoothie Bowl is a meal in itself. I serve this to my toddler too and she loves it. It is a great filling breakfast for kids during busy mornings. Try this smoothie bowl and I am sure you are going to make it more often. Cause breakfast has never tasted so good.

I have a smoothie almost everyday for breakfast. Sometimes I turn it into a smoothie bowl. I use frozen bananas for an “ice cream” texture, because I’m vegan and like the healthy addition of a banana.
