Baked Peach With Saffron

Happy Tuesday, everyone. Today, I will help you all start your new week after a long weekend on a sweet note by sharing this beautiful dessert.

How did I come up with the recipe for Baked Peach With Saffron?

As a Recipe Developer, I go through many twists and turns while developing a recipe.

Sometimes it turns excellent at first, and at times, I have to keep changing the ingredients and its measurements until it is Perfect.

Today’s recipe is one of those which turned Perfect on the very first try. I am very excited about this recipe because I loved how it turned out.

Here I have baked peaches with Saffron. The unique exotic flavor of this dessert comes from Saffron.

It is one of the spices that is widely in use throughout India during festive occasions. This sweetly aromatic spice, when added to any food, makes that food Special.

How did I make this recipe?

Making this recipe is simple. I started with washing the peach and cut it in half. I removed the stone and prick the fruit with a fork.

Next, I mix saffron with water and added it to the peach pieces. Follow it by baking it for 15 minutes at 350 degrees temperature.

Once that’s done, sprinkle the baked peach pieces with saffron sugar and bake it for another 15 minutes.

When that is done, take them out and let them cool down. In the final step, top it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and the juices of the baked peach pieces and serve.

Baked Peach With Saffron

About Saffron:

Saffron is considered to be the most expensive spice in the world. It is obtained from the stigmas of Crocus sativus, also known as Rose of Saffron.

The saffron flower blooms at dawn, and the saffron stigma withers out rapidly and loses its taste and color. Hence, picking them between dawn till 10 am becomes important.

Saffron is cultivated from Spain in the west to India in the east. Arab, Persian, Indian, European, and Turkish cuisines make use of this delicate spice.

Just a pinch of this beautiful spice creates wonders for any recipe, and it has done here too. Serve this exotic and delicious dessert for your family, and I am sure they would ask for more.

Let’s go through the recipe.

That looks amazing. I have only purchased saffron one time. I thought it wasn’t as expensive as I’d been told until I opened the bottle and saw that although the bottle was regular size, it was not full to say the least!
