Apple Cinnamon Smoothie

Happy Monday, everyone. Things get really tough as the week beings, especially when you have little ones around. For me, it gets tougher with my 2- year-old when she has her ideas of having breakfast.

Most of the time, her ideas do not match my preferences, and then a cereal bowl takes an hour to finish, along with other bits and bites.

For such crazy mornings, I came up with a breakfast smoothie, including everything she generally has during her first meal. And can satisfy her idea of breakfast too. By the way,  she loves smoothies, so any drink with a straw is her ideal breakfast meal or any meal.

In the following Apple Cinnamon Smoothie recipe, I have used apple, banana, and oats and turned them into a quick meal. I have used walnuts here, but it’s totally optional.

My daughter does not have any nut allergies, so I usually add those to her daily food. But you can skip nuts if you wish to.

I have used frozen bananas in this recipe. I chop bananas into cubes the night before and freeze them. They give a wonderful creamy texture to any smoothie recipe.

This recipe is good for older kids and parents too. And it gets ready in just a few minutes.

  • Add more milk if the smoothie is too thick. Adjust sugar according to your preference

Thanks so much for including the health benefits of cinnamon. It’s nice to know that delicious spice is also good for the family. I use a lot of it!
