Apple Cinnamon Smoothie is a quick and easy breakfast smoothie for crazy busy mornings. This smoothie can be enjoyed by everyone in the family.
Happy Monday everyone. Things get really tough as the week beings, especially when you have little ones around. For me, it gets tougher with my 2- year-old when she has her ideas of having breakfast. Most of the time her ideas do not match my preferences and then a cereal bowl takes an hour to finish along with other bits and bites.
For such crazy mornings, I came up with a breakfast smoothie, which would include everything she generally has during her first meal. And can satisfy her idea of a breakfast too. By the way, she loves smoothies, so any drink with a straw is her ideal breakfast meal or any kind of meal.
In the following Apple Cinnamon Smoothie recipe, I have used apple, banana, and oats and turned them into a quick meal. I have used walnuts here, but it’s totally optional. My daughter does not have any nut allergies so I usually add those to her daily food. But you can skip nuts if you wish to. I have used frozen bananas in this recipe. I just chop bananas into cubes the night before and freeze them. They give a wonderful creamy texture to any smoothie recipe.
This recipe is good for older kids and parents too. And it gets ready in just a few minutes.
- 1 apple
- 1 banana (chopped and frozen overnight)
- 1½ cup milk
- ⅓ cup oats
- ⅓ cup walnut pieces
- 1- 2 tsp sugar or honey
- ½ tsp vanilla essence
- ½ tsp cinnamon powder
- Wash and chop the apple into pieces.
- Add all the above ingredients to the blender along with apple pieces.
- Pulse until everything turns smooth.
- Pour it into a serving glass and serve.
- Drink immediately.
Add more milk if the smoothie is too thick. Adjust sugar according to your preference
